Out of Hours
Out of hours cover is provided by Wiltshire Medical Services between 6.30pm and 8.00am and from 6.30pm Friday until 8.00am Monday. Patients will be offered appropriate advice or a consultation at Savernake hospital, if medically necessary a doctor will make a home visit.

The Surgery is open from 9.00am until 1pm and from 2pm to 6.30pm except Wednesday, which is half day closing. There is also a late evening clinic on Monday evenings and these appointments are for people unable to get to the surgery within normal working hours.

We run an appointment system but always leave some time free for emergencies each day. This means that you can usually be seen the day that you ask for an appointment, and can choose to be seen by any of the doctors.

Home Visits

Please try to telephone reception as early as possible if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
